Vintage WWII U.S. Military Ice Cleats Crampons

This is a pair of WWII U.S. Military Ice Creepers or Crampons. Crampons were a cold weather issued item for combat boots, but work great for every day fishing, and hiking.

This set is made of a galvanized metal with cotton webbing for strapping the cleats to the sole of  your boot. They are adjustable and have seven 3/4″ sharp spikes to give you a good grip on ice or snow.

This pair is stamped on each metal frame – “U.S. 02154”. They are approximately 7″ x 4″ but are adjustable. The straps are over 20″ long to fit around your boots. The straps have claw type buckles to keep the crampons tight and secure. The end of each strap is crimped with a galvanized end to keep from fraying.
